Technical support is as much about planning and preventative maintenance as it is about resolving problems when they occur. This session will present an approach to addressing the challenge of managing technical support in a school. The session will include discussion on:
- What is meant by technical support in a school context.
- Managing technical support
- Working with technical support providers
From an ICT and telecoms industry background, Tom Lonergan has been Technology Coordinator in NCTE since 2002. His role includes providing ICT advice and support to schools, including ICT procurement and frameworks, as well as coordinating NCTE's role in the Schools Broadband Programme.
